Description
The original Florida Center for Reading Research website was hand-coded, so I was given the opportunity to recreate the site in Drupal 8 and 9. By doing so, I converted research content into databases that are easily searchable and display in different views across the site depending on context. The site is available to browse at https://fcrr.org.
Notable components
Resource Database (pictured)
The Resource Database contains all the content created by FCRR faculty and researchers. This content is searchable by keyword, resource format, project/grant, audience, and age level. The content appears in different views across the site often attached to different projects, faculty members, student programs, and teacher materials.
Reading Program Repository(pictured)
This repository showcases reading programs by study rating, demographics, and featured learning areas.
Student Center Activities
While a part of the Resource Database, the Student Center Activities are further organized into views by grade level and area of learning.
Backend (pictured)
The backend of the site makes adding new content simple for non-technical editors by including conditional fields that only appear if relation options are selected.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff can be easily searched by their project affiliations and rolls at FCRR.
